MarQuest · Web Platform
marquest.in
What it was
The web platform I built and run for MarQuest, the marketing club at Great Lakes Gurgaon: news, a placement prep hub, a daily aptitude bank, events with registration, live event quizzes, and an admin panel for the club team, on Next.js 14, TypeScript and MongoDB.
Key findings
marquest.in is roughly 55,000 lines of TypeScript across about 80 pages and as many API routes, with 14 Mongoose models behind them. Students sign in with Google and get a news feed, a placement hub (four-week plan, India dashboard, lexicon, GD topics, guesstimates, company profiles, interview bank), an aptitude section with 1,223 questions, a daily paper with a leaderboard and a full timed mock, plus events, jobs, case studies and certificates. Claude generates the daily quiz and the daily decode, scrapers keep news, jobs and the case library fresh on a cron, and a socket.io server runs the live event quiz, which I load-tested to 500 concurrent players in August 2026. The admin panel lets the team run events, rosters, newsletters, recruitment and ID cards without touching the database. It ships from GitHub Actions to a VPS behind Apache and PM2 on every push to main, and the timetable bot shares its MongoDB and Google OAuth client.
